John Michael (Mike) Hall is the first Director of the newly-created Division of Integrated Health Services at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Prior to joining CMS, Mike served as Cabinet Secretary for the Department of Aging & Office of Long-Term Living in Pennsylvania. From 2004-2007, he was Deputy Commissioner of the Maine Department of Health & Human Services and also served as Director of MaineCare, the state Medicaid program. An experienced healthcare, elderlaw and probate litigator, Mike practiced law for 16 years and directed the Vermont Senior Citizens Law Project and the Vermont Ombudsman Program. Joining state government in the mid-1990s, he worked for Vermont Governors Howard Dean and Jim Douglas as Principal Assistant to the Secretary of Human Services and, later, as Commissioner of the Department of Social Welfare.
