Josh Cutler is director of the Maine
Quality Forum, part of the Dirigo Health Agency that was created to implement
the Dirigo Health Reform Act of 2003, Maine’s effort to provide health care to
uninsured and underinsured people in the state. The tasks of the Maine Quality
Forum include measuring and reporting on care quality, facilitating quality
improvement and promoting best practices, and advancing the adoption of
electronic health information systems. Prior to becoming director of the
Quality Forum in April 2007, Dr. Cutler practiced interventional cardiology for
nearly thirty years in Washington, D.C., and Portland, Maine.
